Rick Roy in a trades environment, consulting with a business owner
Rick Roy, Principal Consultant at ClearFlow Business Solutions

A lifetime of practical experience, put to work.

Rick started his career as a millwright.

That meant working around equipment, people, deadlines, breakdowns, handoffs, parts, schedules and the everyday reality of getting the job done.

He learned early that the best process is the one people can actually use.

Later, his career took him into automation systems sales, where he saw the other side of the equation: what technology can do when it is applied to the right problem.

He learned the tools, the systems and the possibilities. More importantly, he learned that more technology is not always the answer.

After retiring from corporate life, Rick discovered something fairly quickly:

He was not very good at sitting still.

A few grey hairs later, he found himself coming back to his roots with a different toolbox. ClearFlow is the culmination of that experience.

The trades taught him how work really happens. Corporate automation taught him what technology can make possible. Years of business experience taught him that the two only work when they fit together.

Now he uses all of it to help small businesses make everyday work easier.

He understands both sides of the problem.

    1

    He understands the work.

Rick knows what it is like when customers are waiting, schedules change, information lives in someone's head, and the real work still has to get done.

    2

    He understands the technology.

Years in automation systems exposed him to what software can do, where it helps, and where it simply creates more work.

    3

    He knows the difference.

The goal is not to add technology. The goal is to make the business easier to run.

    Where ClearFlow Fits

ClearFlow is where those two worlds meet.

    • Staff
    • Schedules

    • Everyday operations
    ClearFlow

    Useful Technology

    • Automation
    • AI support
    • Better information
    • Fewer manual steps
    • Clearer handoffs

Small businesses do not need more technology for the sake of it. They need practical improvements that make the work easier.

Practical business experience first. Technology second.

    Experience That Matters

The grey hairs are part of the value.

Experience teaches you that not every problem needs a bigger solution.

    I

    Keep what already works.

    II

Fix what is actually getting in the way.

    III

Build something people can understand and use.

    ClearFlow Point of View
